Default Fairey Barracuda loss 24th April 1945

    Dear all,

In 24th April 1945 a Barracuda was lost during a patrol off the Dutch coast. The crew was rescued. Has anyone a serial or unit on file?

    Thanks in advance,
    Hans

    Hi dg,

Many thanks for this. Oostende is in fact Belgium and that may be the main reason why I couldn't find a clue. Apparently the task that day may have been off the Dutch coast, but not the crash place.

    Regards,
    Hans
