Default RAF Station Talbenny COs - G/Cpt Stratton & G/Cpt Martin, AFC 1942-43

    Hi all,

I am trying to identify COs of RAF Station Talbenny in period of 1942-43.
According to the ORB they were:

    G/Cpt J. A. C. Stratton
    G/Cpt L. Martin, AFC

But I was unable to indetify them in the LG yet.
I am after their service numbers and first names.

    Any help much apprecitaed.

The September 1943 AFL has a Group Captain Leon Martin AFC.

J.A.C. Stratton also appears in the same AFL, in the index he is listed as J.A. Stratton but on the page with the actual entry he is down as J.A.C.

Neither man appears with a service number so I would take it that they received their commissions prior to the introduction of officer service numbers in the late 30s.

    Pavel, Hi,

    G/Cpt J. A. C. Stratton
Squadron Leaders to be Wing Commanders (temporary),
    John Arthur Charles STRATTON (26069).

There is a "L. Martin" who gets an AFC and becomes a Gp Capt but the LG will not give me his Service Number or his Forename!!

I have found an LG entry for Leon Martin which gives a service number, it is 07242.
