    Default Help needed to ID aircrew

    Hi,

    Trying to identify three former 115 and 218 aircrew, ORB no help sadly.

    Sergeant Kinvig, Observer
    Sergeant Player, Wop/Ag (possible s/n 905932)
    Sergeant Vandervord, pilot.

    Any pointers welcome, tried LG, to no avail.

    Re: Sgt KINVIG - Observer.

    KINVIG, Flight Lieutenant Bruce Dalrymple, MiD.
    NZ39863: Born Nelson, 31 Dec 1918; NZ Army/TF (Wgtn Regt) 1938; RNZAF 14 Oct 1939 to 22 Aug 1946; Navigator.

    Citation Mention in Despatches (22 Mar 1946); In recognition of gallant services rendered during the war. Flt Lt Kinvig served with 115 and 218 Sqns RAF (both Wellington) in England before returning to NZ in Aug 1942, later completing a tour in the SWPA with 8 Sqn RNZAF (Ventura).

    Died Porirua, 23 May 1990.

    Thank you, I was informed he came from the Island Man by ex squadron gunner!! Should have checked, silly mistake. Thank you.

    For Sgt Player I have: Sgt Samuel Thomas Player 908932 RAF. Note service number.
