Re the Liberator. There were supposed to be ten fatal casualties, nine are shown but I could not locate the name of the tenth. Perhaps and Indian national who was cremated as per his religion.

From Matt Poole's "Corrections/discrepancies and additions to the Air-Britain book,
"The Liberator in Royal Air Force and Commonwealth Service"

Pg 139: BZ998: Further loss info: The crash occurred while BZ998 was at 322 Maintenance
Unit. Presumably it was still assigned to 357 Sqn and was just at 322 MU for repairs/overhaul.
Pilot: 88643 F/Lt Arthur Howard. The navigator was the only other aircrew, though there were
seven groundcrew aboard. All nine died and are buried in Delhi War Cemetery, India.

This is entry from the Skeabrae ORB relating to NR795:

June 1st 1945, “F/O Rowe T.G.R. (156098) of Communication Flight, piloting Dominie No.NR 795 on the return trip from Inverness to Skeabrae, crashed at Stromness at 17.40 hours. His three passengers, Sgt W. Colbourne (1869254 Airfield Controller), Sgt Dennis 1005722 and Cpl Brimmicombe 1273316 were all killed outright, and F/O Rowe died of multiple injuries just under and hour later.”

There was an entry on the 2nd to say they held the CoI that day.
