    Default Stearman Hammond R2676 (ex-KLM PH-APY)

In May 1939 the RAF purchased a Stearmon Hammond Y from the KLM (ex-PH APY).

I gathered it was used for tricycle undercarriage tests with the RAF and was wfu in Feb. 1942.

What RAF unit would have been involved in these tests and was this at Farnbourough?

    Thanks fro any info.

    Regards,

    Leendert

    Hi,
Air Britain R File says delivered in June 1939 to the RAE (Royal Aircraft Establishment) So yes Farnborough would be correct.
