Default Sgt John Steel RAF, died in Canada on 30 April 1943

    Hello,

I am searching the name of an airman fatally injured in the crash of the Tiger Moth I 1266 of No.35 EFTS RCAF on 26 April 1943. Here is what I have on this crash:

"On 26 April 1943 the Tiger Moth I 1266 of No.35 EFTS RCAF crashed 1.5 miles NE of Eden, Manitoba. Instructor on dual control made several low passes at a crash truck of the unit, truck picking up crashed aircraft in area. On one pass he hit the truck and crashed in flames. The RAF instructor died four days later. One civilian seriously hurt, one slightly hurt, five others unhurt."

The only aviator shown on the CWGC database for the date of 30 April 1943 (four days after the crash), is Sgt John Steel RAF, who is buried at Edmonton.

I would like to confirm that he was the man I am searching.

    Thanks in advance
