Default RAF 65 squadron 0.50 caliber headstamps

In search for a lost Mustang from RAF 65 squadron we have found a 0.50 cailber shell which we suspect are from a mustang from this squadron.

Its stamped DM and 43 and has red tracer in the tip.

Are there anyone out there knowing what production batch was used in the 65th squadron ?

    Hi

The Cartridge stamp does only tell about the manufacturer and year of production.

Des Moines Ordnance Plant, Des Moines, Iowa, USA. Operated by US Rubber Co from Jan 1942 to July 1945.

Thank you both for your replies.

I know its a long shot, but just maybe someone would know if these where supplied to RAF 65 sqd.
I just might have to pick one from my former crash site to compare....
