Lt Collins GPR. "History of the GPR" states 'accidentally drowned' but gives no other details. Isearch of the BMD records would give a location of the death registration and the local newspapers might then help.

The Hotspur and Horsa quoted, appear to be non-fatals according to my records.

    Here is a small mystery.

Flying Officer Leonard Francis SOULSBY (187718) 1945-06-17 34 Sqdn Myanmar Taukkyan War Cemetery

Is noted as being killed in a flying accident. but squadron ORB records his death only in July - saying they received the info only in mid July.
Circumstances of his death not known. but last known, he was on dettachment to Ranchi and made his way to Calcutta by a Mosquito flight.

    Hi Jagan

Soulsby was killed whilst flying in Mosquito VI, HR309 of No 45 Sqn, which was lost during the return trip from Kinmagen, but no cause could be established.

Thanks Malcolm. i tried to use that info to update my Mosquito losses in SEAC list and found I already had him in there! . The mismatch in the unit threw me off -
