I offer the following regarding Blenheim R2779:

Served with 254 Squadron. 04/05/42 with 254 Squadron at Carew Cheriton and an engine cut while it was escorting a DC-2. Lost height and crashed into sea in an attempt to ditch in fog near Lundy Island, killing the crew. 39791 S/L Ian Sutherland Jameson is buried in Heanton Punchardon (St. Augustine) Churchyard, Devon; 924105 Sgt Robert Arthur French Raymond is buried in Wakes Colne (All Saints) Churchyard, Essex and 81383 F/L Arthur Walter Barnes is commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial, Panel 65.

I'm sorry I can't supply you with a photograph of the aircraft or the crew, but I can offer one of S/L Jameson's gravestone except that I don't seem to be able to attach it to this message. However, if you care to send me your E-Mail address I should be able to send it to you by that method.
