    Default Hudson Loss 27-12-1942

I came across a posting related to the loss of this aircraft. Some of the members involved in the post were Kevin Mears and Ross McNeill. The posts were in 2007 and 2008. Are these gentlemen still members?

    Hello David,
Welcome to the forum. If you click on the members name, where it appears in the top left of the post, you can see recent posts from that member. Perhaps you can tell us what drew you to look into this Hudson?

If this is the thread your referring to you really ought to just post to that old thread rather than create an unconnected new one.

Duplicating threads just dilutes the input people make and may end up with duplicated information being posted.

One of the crew involved was my father, Sgt John Griffin. I have very limited knowledge of him and none re the last operation. I was looking for more information or suggestions on where to start my search.

Reading up on the subject is a good start.

Try working through the RAF "How to Guides" at The National Archives as a primer.

There are other sources to advise on where to start your search than two individuals, a general request on the board on the relevant thread will bring answers from many additional sources.

A good start David is to obtain your dad's service record, this will provide a snap shot of his service career, induction, postings etc, come back to us here when you have it and we can help explain the codes etc.
