    Default Five airmen 25/12/1946

Does anyone know if there was a connection between any/all of these personnel killed on 25/12/1946

    AC2 ABBOTT, AJ 713170
    AC2 HICKS, JJ 2318782
    LAC JONES, DS 1463208
    LAC LINES, ER 1649162
    LAC ROSS, WKF 1572503

All buried around Britain. My interest is in Abbott, as I'm just starting to look RAF personnel of Jamaican origins.

    thank you

    Default Jones Burial

Jones is buried in Hanover, ought to help narrow it down. Didn't find them on findmypast RAF GRO index, not that i ever seem to find anything on that. It's a such a pity that GRO index is not properly scanned, if one coudl get to search the serial numbers it would be a great tool.

Perhaps I should get out more!?

Thank you Dennis. My mistake, I was in a hurry and didn't pick up on Jones.

    Dennis,
It's not a question of 'getting out more' but a question as to whether you should install a soft-top to your computer desk. Makes banging one's head on the desk a lot less painful when GRO (and others!!) don't come up with the right answer!!! Been there, done it!!
