Default Sqn Ldr Kerr, flight commander 'C' Flight 23 OTU July 41

The following is a diary entry made in July 1941 by a New Zealand pilot posted that month to 23 OTU at Pershore:

"We were in C Flight there, whose commander was Sqdn/Ldr. Kerr, an Imperial Airways man from the England Alexandria Singapore or alternately the Eng Alex Durban run on Empire Flying Boats. A good egg he was too."

Does anyone know exactly who Kerr was, please?

    G'day Errol.

    Might l suggest - 70363 F/L Beverley Ridley KER RAFR ?

    Take a look at BCL7/57 - 27 June 1941.

    Hi Errol.

Following on from Col, I think it is your man, Beverley Ker, known as Jo Jo. Went on to serve as a flight commander with 218 Squadron, C/O of 218 Conversion flight and ultimately No.1657 CU C/O. I have a few photo's if required.

    Kind regards
