    Default Churchill directive?

While researching ADGB losses, incurred through countering V-1 attacks, I came across the following comment from a CO on an 1180 card.
"This sort of accident while continue to happen as long as ops. dictate that patrols must be undertaken in doubtful weather"
Further investigation has led me to suppose that a directive from Churchill was given that the RAF must be seen and be heard to be active against the V-1 in all weathers, so that the public knew that all efforts possible were being made to protect against the threat.
Has anyone else heard of this and where could I find documented evidence that this was so?

I suspect it was one of those Churchillian "Action This Day" Memos, or Minutes, or Instructions. If it survives it might just be in the Cabinet Office Papers?

    Thanks Peter,
I was hoping for a short cut to the reference, but no matter as other interesting things always emerge on the way!
