    Default John David Fox 61485

Does anyone have any information on John David Fox - 61485? I want to know if he had been posted to 488(NZ) squadron in early 1943. There is no record if his service number in the ORB, and a cross-reference with the May 1943 air force list only has one entry for J.D.Fox but I want to be sure I have the right man.

    Thanks in advance,

    Adam

I have 61485 Flight Lieutenant J.D.Fox at 255 Squadron, La Sebala II, Tunisia, pilot, credited with one Cant Z.1007 bis destroyed 22:35 / Night of 12-13.August.1943. Reference AIR27/1518 folio 228. There were many personnel swaps between 255 and 488 including "Bruce", 255's mascot, when 255 went overseas on Operation Torch. Trousdale, the C/O of 488, was ex-255. See http://www.255.org.uk/mascot.html
