    Default Beaufort L4489

    A/c t/o Sumburgh 23:15 on 12.6.40 and carried out an attack on the vessel 'Vaernes'. On the return flight it was hit in the starboard aileron by machine gun fire from Trondheim Station. Crashed in sea 04:50 on 13.4.40 whilst attempting to land at Sumburgh. All aboard escaped with cuts and bruises.
