Default Lancaster GT-A, JA914 of 156 Squadron, Pathfinders. Augsburg raid 25/2/1944

    Hi all,
Researching one of the names on our village War Memorial. (Beresford Bruce Millen, pilot)
The above aircraft crashed at Lahr / Schwarzwald on Augsburg raid 25/2/1944

Has anyone got a picture of this aircraft?

Can anyone help with who shot it down?

Pilot Beresford Bruce Millen came from our village.
It appears he went with Pathfinders to Berlin 6 times between 12/1943 & 2/1944
But I guess he must have had plenty of experience before joining Pathfinders - can anyone help in tracing earlier RAF flying history?

Please reply to brookeratheber@btinternet.com as I might otherwise miss the reply! (Have just found an unopened reply from 4 years ago!)

    Thanks
    Paul

I suggest you look at the 156 squadron association page, you will find millen in the roll of honour.

This will give you a note of crewetc and previous missions with 156.
    Also the CWGC site.
