    Hello,

    I'm looking for informations about the circumstances of death of the following airman:

    HATFIELD, Pilot Officer (Air Gnr.) JACK ELMER, 40474, 264 Sqdn., Royal Air Force. 28 May 1940. Age 28. Son of Elmer Calvin Hatfield and Enola Vaughan Hatfield, of Tusket, Yarmouth Co., Nova Scotia, Canada. A.C.B.A. Grave Ref. Becklingen 26. D. 4.

    From a thread from the old rafcommands board:

    Defiant L7007. Shot down in combat with Bf109s of 6./JG51 over the Channel north-west of Dunkirk 12.05 p.m. and probably one of those claimed by Oberlt Priller (Staffelkapitän). P/O A. MacLeod missing and P/O J. E. Hatfield killed. Aircraft a write-off.
