Default Flight Lieutenant Ronald Gordon Elvin

    Hello all
I have just joined this site because I saw an entry , posted I admit some time ago, asking for any material on Ronnie Elvin, who was killed Dec 23rd 1944 while with 613 squadron.

My father was Ronald George Lucas, who flew with Ronnie Elvin many times with 151 squadron in Mosquitos, and I have details of their flights from his log book.
I have not been able to find that request again, so if anyone is still looking please contact me, or if anyone locates the request posted before.

In particular he said that he has photographs of Ronal Elvin, which I would like to see

Yes thanks Dennis.I did find it after I posted.
I just hoped that 'familyresearch' might still be looking as I have information he was seeking.( Also I would really like a photo of Ronnie Elvin) He seems to no longer be a member however.

    Hello
Just taking a few moments out this evening, across the room is a picture of my grandfather and his brother, Ronald Gordon Elvin. It prompted me to have another scout around on the internet, more in hope than expectation, and came across your post. Wow....
I do have photos - i will get them ready and post them over tomorrow - of course anything you can share would be gratefully received. I did wonder what the circumstances might have been that split them up in 151sq - i have read the very comprehensive diaries published on http://www.151squadron.org.uk but cannot see anything that explains this - also there is another incident i am curious about ( https://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/wiki.php?id=72403 ) - from my childhood i can remember small snippets of conversation from relatives talking about Ronnie having to bale out at sea and wonder if you might have any info. Hope you have the time to correspond.
