    Hello Jagan,
In regard to the loss of Sgt. ALEXANDER, 1133121, 13/9/1945.
The database shows still that he was lost in a Spitfire X, but in this thread you have it as a Mk.XIV.
    He was RAFVR from Belfast.
So if RAF then was the a/c an RAF Spitfire or an Indian Air Force a/c ?
I also believe that the IAF did not use their own serial numbers until 1947, so Alexander's a/c would have worn it's RAF serial number ?
    From what I found on the www, the IAF used Mk's Vc( 5 - 43-45); VII(?); VIIIc(14 - 44-48); FR XIVe(20 - 45-50).
They did use one PRXI in 47 but never a mk X?
The IAF a/c would only be of interest if Alexander was flying with an IAF Unit, but if with the RAF then we should be looking for an RAF aircraft .
So is it certain which service he was flying with at the time of his death ?
    Which is correct ?
    Alex
