Thanks for adding Harris to the Bourne End victims Malcolm.

I saw the Barbara Richards registered in Berkhampstead on FreeBMD, but her age was given as 59. Her entry on the CWGC website gives her age as 25. There is a family tree on ancestry.co.uk with her included, which states she died in Illogan in Cornwall on October 7th 1945, but there's no source listed for the information. Oddly there's a photo in the gallery of her entry showing a digger in a quarry...

    Regards

    Default Bourne End accident

Several editions of The Times have references to the Bourne End accident, and it is clear it took some time to recover all the bodies. Names of the fatalities and injured are listed, and while the following repeats earlier posts there is some additional information:

Sgt K R Aylett; (no unit given) of Sittingbourne
LAC H A Frost; 135 Wing RAF Errol of Greenwich
LAC H C Gilberet; RAF Oban of Winchester
LAC Harris; RAF Errol of St Mary Cray
? G E W Wilson; RAF Haverford west of Stranraer

    Hi Simon

I only had her as a possible due to the age difference, perhaps the 7 Oct date was a burial date given as a hint on Ancestry that someone has attached as a death date instead?
