    Hi,

    I see 1413499 F/Sgt T.W.D Quainton, was also listed as being a POW in Germany at Stalag Luft 3 (circumstances unknown). I believe many sick RAF POWs upon the liberation were sent to the RAF Hospital at Flyde.

    The National Probate Calendar on ancestry.co.uk has the following:

    QUAINTON, Thomas William Douglas, of 32, St Julians Avenue, Newport, Monmouthshire, died 2 October 1945 at Royal Air Force Station Hospital, Kirkham, Lancashire.

    134295 LAC (Flight Mechanic) Frederick George KIMMEL RAAF, died of injuries received on 2 October, 1945, in a road accident at the corner of Pennant Hills and Albion Road, Pennant Hills, NSW.
