146450 LAC Raymond George LUNN RAAF.

On 24 October, 1945, LAC R G LUNN RAAF (of No.9 Airfield Cobstruction Squadron, Balikpapan), asked LAC F B RAGEN RAAF for assistance in moving a table in his tent. LAC Ragen went into the tent and proceeded to assist in moving the table. Noticing a rifle lying against the the table, LAC Ragen said "just a minute" and picked up the rifle. While doing so, the butt of the rifle hit the table and exploded. A bullet struck LAC Lunn in the right chest. A Medical Officer was called immediately, but LAC Lunn died of his injuries.
