    Rose Edith Lewis 2001988 , an equipment assistant attached to 146 MU , was killed in a vehicle accident at RAF Bicester

    Harold Vaines 981411, attached to Central Signals Centre , was taken seriously ill on 9 October and admitted to the Middlesex Hospital, London W1 , where he died of bacterial endocarditis

    RAF Halton Roll Of Honour has

    Denys Stanley Clinch Halton Entry 34 (ex 569842) now Sqn.Ldr. (46369) died 29-Oct-45 aged 26 buried Kranji War Cemetery, Singapore cause Engineering Officer. Died as a result of accident.

    The Bedfordshire Times article states that Swannell had been dishcharged from the R.A.F. after an accident, and had been receiving treatment in London shortly before his sudden death.

    After his discharge, he was a student at Birmingham University, where he secured a BSc. and had been teaching at Luton Technical School for some time before his death.
