    Hi Simon,

I checked with a New Zealand researcher who advised me of the following.

The Halifax was, however, clearly shot down on the second leg out of the target, crashing in Luftwaffe Grid Square ‘RP 1-5’. Possible victors were:

    NJG6:

    Lütje 20.55 hrs
    Becker 20.42 hrs
    Becker 20.47 hrs

    II./NJG2:

? (they made claims during Worms raid but there are at least four claims for which no details are available, so it could be a claim was made in the area where NR189 was lost, not possible to know for sure)

    Regards,

    John.

    Simon,

It looks like you have your information. Do you still require the POW liberation report?

No, that's fine Nick, thanks. Joss sent me the first page of Langstaff's Questionnaire. Sorry, I'd meant to drop you a PM to let you know, but thanks once again for offering.

John, Langstaff was captured at Morbach, about 55 miles WNW of Worms, if that matches the grid reference for the crash site.

    Regards

    Simon
