    Hello ,

    P/O Menzies j/J/157624 was buried at the Eindhoven ( Holland ) cemetery in section KK grave nr 67. Does someone has more info on this man ?

    Couple of questions:

    Is he Menzies, J., service number 157624, or Menzies, service number J/157624?

    Is it Eindhoven (Woensel) General Cemetery? Can't see him on the CWGC site.

    I believe your man is R157627 (later J86541) Howard John Menzies - born 25 June 1923. Enlisted in Vancouver, 10 March 1942 and posted that date to No.3 Manning Depot, Edmonton. To No.7 Initial Training School, Saskatoon, 20 June 1942. Graduated and promoted LAC, 28 August 1942. To No.6 Elementary Flying Training School, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, 26 September 1942. To No.7 Service Flying Training School, Macleod, Alberta, 21 November 1942. Graduated and promoted Sergeant, 19 March 1943. To "Y" Depot for embarkation, 2 April 1943. To RAF overseas, 7 April 1943. Promoted Flight Sergeant, 19 September 1943. Commission with effect from 4 May 1944. Missing, presumed dead, 25 or 27 May 1944 (No.432 Squadron, Halifax LK811)
