Default service record / personal information

I have recently received my relatives service record but they don't include any personal information, ie height,weight,hair/eye colour etc. Do the RAF hold this sort of information? If so, can I apply for it ?

    Thanks Graham.

    Hi Graham

Have you received A3 photocopies or an A4 transcript of his service?

The service records are photocopies of oroginal documents printed on A4 paper. The first 2 sheets are entitled "movements 1and movements 2" the 3rd sheet is entitled "promotions,Reclassifications,Reversions"

    Hi Graham

Ignore my reply to your other thread, it's a little confusing that there are two threads for the same matter.

You haven't got his full records, I assume because you may not be the direct next-of-kin. As I said in my reply to your other thread his full records will give descriptive details, ie Height, Chest, Colour of Eyes, Colour of Hair, Complexion and any Marks/Scars but you only get this info if you are the next-of-kin.

    Hi

In that case you are entitled to receive the full records and I suggest you contact Cranwell again. I have received over 60 sets of full records with the N-o-K's permission so you should be able to receive them.
