    Default No.148 Squadron ORB Jan-Dec 1941.

    Hello,

Would anyone have the No.148 Sqn ORB for the period, January - December, 1941?

Have some details, but need to verify some crew/incident information.

    Any help appreciated.

    Col.

    Hi David,

Thanks for the offer, but a member kindly supplied me with a copy of the 148 Sqn ORB (up to Dec. 1942), and Appendixes.

I was updating my file on AUS402057 Sgt (2nd Pilot) Ernest Olaf LANE RAAF. Sgt Lane RAAF, was wounded by shrapnel on 8/9-8-1941. The pilot of Wellington IC Z8765, was 37615 F/L George Gerard STOREY RAF. The other known crew were, AUS400237 P/O (Obs.) Wilfred John CARROLL RAAF, and the W.Op/Air Gnr, was 977343 Sgt Geoffrey Ezra Frederick GODLEY RAFVR, who succumbed to his wounds.

The ORB doesn't provide enough detail to identify the rest of the crew. A P/O (Air Gnr.) Edmond receives a mention occasionally. Any idea who they might be?

I'm aware of the fate of Storey and Carroll RAAF., and the mention of Lane in BLME1/93.

    Roll on BLME2!
