    Default Blackburn Roc crash

The Blackburn Roc floatplane L3059 crashed in November 1939 while undergoing trials with the Marine Aircraft Experimental Establishment at Helensburgh. It was replaced by Roc L3057 on floats early in 1940 but that too crashed? IF so when was the date of this second crash?

L3059 was bent by F/O W T Dennis on 3rd Dec 1939 not Nov while carrying out cross wind landing on the river at Brough.

L3057 arrived before L3059 crashed and survived to become a GI airframe in Dec 1940.
