On 9th June 1943 Beaufighter XI JM116/P came down in the North Sea while flying in fog. My father was the motor mechanic on board the RN rescue launch RML 153 which picked up the crew on 11th June. Some time after the rescue the crew of the launch visited RAF North Coates. My father had a flight in a Beaufighter as a thank you, standing on the forward escape hatch!!. I have copies of the relevant 143 Sqdn and North Coates ORBs for the dates above, but I wondered if any mention of the visit was made subsequently. If anyone has copies of these ORBs I would be grateful if they could check if there was any mention for me.

Thanks in advance,

Robert
