I agree that the quality of the current entries needs improvement/fixing.

    quick dirty queries

records with "hospital" in the field (And not tied to aircraft serial) - 3209
    natural causes - 337
    illness -471
discharge (post discharge death) - 381

I personally have the following to fix.

Aircraft related entries that do not specify the aircraft name/type (i.e wrong serial, unknown serial) - 685
Non aircraft related entries that do not have "Detail" - but are linked to an external site or post - 3745

I can probably help with missing aircraft serials to casualties at some point . If you can send me a copy of the people in the RAF with only “ natural causes “ it would be super helpful to have by my elbow

    Last year
    This was the status
114,580 records (93.59%) are "Accounted for".

Three years into this project, we are at
116,875 records (95.46%) are "Accounted for".

Thanks to the efforts of all our members, we are finally below the 5000 mark!

122432 casualty records in this database.
117501 records (95.97%) are "Accounted for".
4931 records (4.03%) are still "Unaccounted".

And quite close to breaking the < than 4% mark as well.

How many takes it below 4% Jagan ? It may also interest that there are now 4005 RAF Airmen unaccounted ( plus the partials of course ! )

I think just about 36-40 entries away to get it below 4%

I've now checked all of the servicemen and -women I have recorded as killed by enemy action on the home front up to the end of March 1945. I think I ended up adding forty or fifty. I will keep finding an odd one or two as I work through my possible cases, as local newspapers will often help me rule out enemy action.

The other contribution I can probably make from now on is to flesh out or correct details in some of those who are 'accounted for' but only in very general or vague terms. I have a list of about fifty of those that I can start working through next year.

You have no idea of how grateful I am Mark ! I have done a recent quick check and an average of ten Airmen per month per year from 1940 to 1947 have few details
