Default Norman Hatchard - AIR 78 Lookup please

    Hello All,
Can some kind soul with ready access to the right bit of AIR 78 please look up Norman (?) Hatchard (any other forenames not known). He was in the RAF in WW2. He was doing Pilot Balloons in Europe. Therefore it is extremely likely that he was in one of the RA Svy Regts. His Enlisted Number would be a great help in tracking him down!
    TIA

    Simon,
Mni tks for that quick response. Now all we have to do is find who he was doing Pilot Balloons for and where. This was not a cushy number! One of his colleagues, 1802578 LAC Reginald George Merridale, C Troop, 53 Battery, 7 Svy Regt RA, was KIA 4 miles from the front, 22 miles SE of Eindhoven, on 26 Nov 44, aged 21, by enemy arty (either directly by a shell, or stepping on and setting off an unexploded shell) carrying out the very same sort of Pilot Balloon ascent.
    Tks again
