Default James Redfearn Chalmers 70 Sqn

I am researching some details about 70 Squadron's operations in North Africa.
Does anyone have any information about the circumstances of Flt Sgt (WOp/AG) James Chalmers death on Jan 12 1942?
Although recorded as being Canadian, I believe he was American.
    Anyone know more?

    Tom,

According to Allison's 'They Shall Grow Not Old', "Chalmers was involved in a motor accident near Kabrit, Egypt and succumbed to his injuries while in #19 General Hospital." No date of the actual accident is given, which may be different to that of death. The squadron's ORB might say more?

    Thanks Errol,
Must get a copy of that book someday...
Must look at the ORB on my next visit to Kew.

    Default 70 Squadron ORB

Does anyone have access to a copy of the 70 Sqn ORB?
