1250276 Block Enlisted Apr/May 1940. If he was 18 when he Enlisted that would put his Birth year as 1922. A John O Carpenter born Q2 1922 (MMS Ostler, Reg Gravesend 2a 1194). Might be yr man?
He had two older sisters.
