Default Leonard Guy Dennis RAFVR 78760 - killed on the 19th January 1943

    Good morning/afternoon to all,

A friend of mine just acquired some memorablia from RAFVR 78760, a former RAF cadet in 1918 that became Flight Instructor (Flight Lieutenant rank). Leonard Guy Dennis died on the 19th January 1943, in POTCHEFSTROOM, South Africa; most possibly flying a Tiger Moth on the 6 Air School.

We would like to find more about this flying accident, with members of this Forum. Maybe the serial number and the name of the cadet flying with him (the causes of the crash).

Thank you so much for any piece of information,

    Adriano

    Default Thank you Col Bruggy

    Dear Colonel Bruggy,

You have helped me quite a lot on previous threads (PR Mustangs, 268 Squadron, etc.). I do thank you again. Will pass that information to my friend and ask him the Picture of the item that helped us to identify the former owner, F/Lt Leonard Guy Dennis (RAFVR 78760).

A sad loss, like so many during that war of sacrifices...

    Must humbly yours,

    Adriano S. B. (ASV 00.344)

    Col. Bruggy,

I am unable to add or insert images here on that Fórum...do not know why. My friend passed me the pictures of the Badge with the RAFVR number behind, but I can not add or colate them here...If you can send me your e-mail, I do pass them for you, via private message.

    Most sincerely yours,
    Adriano S. Baumgartner
