    Default W G G Duncan-Smith Spitfire accident 7 OTU

I hope someone can help please with a request for information on a crash/collision of W G G Duncan-Smith in a Spitfire accident at 7 OTU mentioned in "Spitfire into Battle"

I do not have a date exactly but it must be sometime around September 1940. He was in collision with an Anson on finals at Hawarden with 7 OTU.

I would like to know the serial of the Spitfire please most likely in the K or L serial range though and the Anson if known.

    Much appreciated

11-10-40 – 7 OTU, Hawarden. Spitfire I. P9395. Collided when landing at Hawarden with Anson. Spitfire I, P9395 wrote off with engine pushed through bulkhead. The Anson pilot who was Polish received cuts to face and cracked ribs, his navigator suffered severe shock. D-S was fit enough to transfer to 611 sqn at Digby the next day.
