To illustrate a chapter of a book I am writing (focused on the S.S. SANTA MARGARITA a U.S. flagged freighter and her crews), I am looking for photographs of 270 Squadron's Catalinas and aircrews taken between June through August 1943. Although I have found two in the IWM, they are of Sunderlands after the squadron transitioned later in 1943.

The SANTA MARGARITA was part of convoy OS-49 which was escorted by Catalinas from 270 Squadron Between 20 and 23 June 1943. The convoy was ALSO escorted by aircraft from 95 and 204 Squadrons. I have found photographs in the IWM for these latter two squadrons....BUT as with 270 Squadron, I would like both snapshots taken by members AND first hand accounts covering this period.

The ship also traveled in TL-15, ST-70 and TS-49 while on the West Africa Coast.

Thank you in advance.
