Default Hawker Hurricane undercarriage made by Vickers?

Hi-Did Vickers manufacture parts for the undercarriage on Hawker Hurricanes as we have a Vickers makers plate which came from a 1941 Hawker Hurricane Mk1 crash site in Northumberland. The actual plate is out of shape but the condition is quite good.On the plate it has Vickers 255CS and the word strut is clear.
What exactly is this part and where is it located on a Hawker Hurricane with regard to the proper drawings. Is it from the Oleo leg? Do any forum members have the proper drawings?

    Hi Phillip,
    Which Hurricane is it?
I might have some background stuff on it.

Hi-We found this Vickers makers plate recently at a Hawker Hurricane Mk1 crash site and it has now been cleaned properly and the word Oleo is clearly visible. The makers plate confirms that Vickers did manufacture Oleo legs for Hawker Hurricanes.Any more help on this would be very much appreciated.

    Regards,Philip
