Default RAF Dakota KG 592 mentioned in book 'They Shall Not Grow Old'

    Hi Folks,

I am researching the loss of this aircraft and its crew and believe there is a reference to it in the book 'They Shall Not Grow Old' by Les Allison. I would like to get in touch with anyone who has copy of the book to see if they would kindly let me know what was said about the disappearance of the aircraft.

    Regards, Greg

This old thread on the old forum likely quotes verbatim from the Allison book.

have you ancestry.com access, the service records of the three Canadians ought to be available there, i will check.

And the casualty file for the Australian also, you can access or order that on Australian National archives.

There is a good long 2 page report about the missing aircraft in that service file, I have saved them off the website along with photos of Lavoie and Pearson. Send a PM if you want a copy
