    Default Attack on conwoy 7/7-1941

    Gents
On 7/7-1942 english aircrafts attacked a small conwoy in the North Sea at approx 12:45 hours. It was on its way from Rotterdam to Kopenhagen with coal. S/S Delaware of Copenhagen was sunk. It is said that 8 aircrafts took part in the attack. The attackers took pictures during the attack and one of these was brought in the Daily Express on 14/7-41. To which squadron did the aircrafts belong ?, what type of aircrafts ? and does anyone have a report on the attatck ?

    Hello,

No.105 & 139 Sqns took part. You can read a comprehensive account of this strike in Chapter 9 of Stuart Scott's, Battle-Axe Blenheims:No.105 Squadron RAF at War 1940-1 (pp.88-91). Includes a photo of the "Delaware" (clearly marked "DELAWARE DANMARK"), under attack.
