Hi, I'm just conducting some general research into the lives and experiences of airmen in the Second World War for university. I am searching for personal letters and diaries of the airmen, both fighter and bomber. I'm not looking into a specific section currently so my interest covers the RAF, US Eighth and Ninth airforces but if anyone has some letters that might be useful or knows a website which offers documents this would be most helpful.
Thanks.
Hello tog12345,
You have asked a very broad question and I would expect you will find many things of interest in the Imperial War Museum Collections. Here is a link:
http://www.iwm.org.uk/collections
... and the descriptions of the documents are quite helpful.
Good luck,
bruce
