    Hi Linda
RAF Bomber Command Losses Vol 7,by W R Chorley gives what seems to be this loss as Wellington Ic,R1243 as taking off from Harwell for a 4 hr X-Country including bombing over the sea. At approx 1130 it was seen by observers at Criccieth to approach from the E and fly into the sea. there was reported sea fog with vis at 500 yds.Boats were launched and 2 men were picked up. Sgt S H Thomson who was dead and Sgt R M Neale who was alive but died from injuries later. The crew were
    Sgt J P Mountney
    Sgt C T Atkinson
    Sgt R M Neale
    Sgt S H Thomson
    Sgt D B Smith
    Sgt H G Hoad
They are described in Chorley as No 5 Crew No 31 Intake
    Regards
    Dick
