    WAAF
Taylor, Barbara Joan - Sgt - 2025112 - the Daily Herald of November 19th 1945 reported the following:

    Beauty Queen Dies in Crash
Twice Beauty Queen of Reading, 21-year-old Sergt. Barbara Joan Taylor, of Orchard Cottage, Howe Hill, Watlington, Oxon, was killed on Saturday when a car in which she was riding skidded and overturned near Wellesbourne aerodrome, Warwick.
The driver, Warrant Officer C. A. Ayres, was seriously injured.

    UK
Gaunt, Cecil Edward - Cpl - 1226256 - the Derby Daily Telegraph of November 20th 1945 reported the following sad tale:

    TRAGEDY OF EX-R.A.F. MAN
"You must blame the war for all this," was a passage from letter which Mr. R. W. Sale, the District Coroner, had before him at the inquest at Doveridge yesterday into the death of Cecil Edward Gaunt (32), of Ashmore Cottage, Doveridge, who was demobilised on Armistice Day after five years' service and who was found shot dead in his father's officer last Friday.
Mr. Gaunt was in the R.A.F. and was in Africa for some years. His other said he seemed strange and muddled since his return home, and had told her that everything seemed small after the wide spaces he had been in.
The Coroner recorded a verdict of "Suicide while the balance of Mr. Gaunt's mind was disturbed."

    Regards

    Simon
