    LAC William BEAVIS 1526219 RAF(VR) 240 Squadron
    LAC John DAVIDSON 1667463 RAF(VR) 240 Squadron

On the 18th November 1945 both men went sailing on Red Hills Lake in a boat that they had constructed themselves, but failed to return from their trip. A search was organised and their bodies recovered on the 20th November. They were buried at Madras (St Mary's) Cemetery with full honours.
