Does anyone have access to the Station ORB for RAF Valley covering the period November 1941 - February 1942

    Kind regards,

Is 350 (Belgian) Squadron mentioned in the files you got?

    Kind regards,

There is not very much, these are the entries which were in the ORB.

17th November 1941 “Pilot arrive to form 350 (Belgian) Squadron (Spitfires 2A) under S/Ldr Thompson D.F.C.”

25th November 1941 “2 Spitfires 2A being delivered from Hawarden to 350 Squadron by No 3 Delivery Flight involved in accidents in bad weather one crashed near Menai and the A.T.A. pilot was killed, whilst the second piloted by Sgt Claessen (being posted to 350 Squadron) crashed just outside the Valley Aerodrome, with injuries to the pilot.”

22nd December 1941 “A Flight 350 (Belgian) Squadron operational as from dawn today. First convoy escort undertaken.”

8th January 1942 “350 (Belgian) Squadron on practice Squadron formation flying when a Lysander from Bodorgan P/O Kalarus of 6 A.A.C.U. was in collision with F/Lt Carlier’s Spitfire IIA. The Spitfire crashed near Valley cross roads, the pilot being injured. The Lysander crashed near Trewan Sands, pilot being killed. F/Lt Carlier later made good progress in A&C Hospital, Bangor.”
