    Dear Phill
I have never come across a list of Squadrons, however the 104 Sq ORB would show if they were involved.
    Best wishes

I believe there was an article on operation Exodus published in Fly Past magazine (eventually the Aeroplane, but I bet it was the former) some 15-20 years ago. It did list all Squadrons involved and number of missions flown.

Possibly August 1995 Aeroplane Magazine (based on a couple of E-Bay adverts)

    Hello,

Don't bother with Operation "EXODUS" ((by former RAF wireless mechanic, Ernest Tomlinson), Aeroplane Monthly, August, 1995 (Vol.23. No.8). pp.62-3. It deals only in generalities and memories, and contains no listing of participants. There are 5 photographs, and suggests that the operation was carried out without a single casualty. Absolute rubbish. Take a look at the entries in BCL6/171-175.

The Bomber Command War Diaries/Middlebrook & Everitt (Viking H/B.,1st ed.), p.701, contains a brief rundown on "Exodus", mentioning the fact, that; 469 flights were made by aircraft of 1, 5, 6 and 8 Groups before the war ended..., but do check later editions.

It was not the article, but possibly around the time.

    Edit.
I wonder if it was an article about Operation DODGE, actually. It was a research piece, and not memories.

    Hello,

Firstly, I was replying to Pete's suggestion that it might be the FlyPast 1995 issue with the article on Operation "EXODUS", no more than that!

The article was, Operation Dodge:From Italy With Love, by John F Hamlin - FlyPast, September 1997 (No.194) pp.52-6. It is a fine piece of research, by a well-respected author. It contains several interesting photos of the aircraft, and personnel involved in Operation "DODGE", and there is an extensive listing of the units, aircraft, bases, 1st sorties, final sorties, total sorties and remarks. For Phill's benefit, No.104 Squadron is listed, albeit briefly, amongst the participants:

    Unit: 104 Sqn.
    Aircraft: Liberator.
    Based at: Foggia Main.
    1st sortie: 4.8.45
    Final sortie: 28.9.45.
    Sorties: 47
    Remarks: Nil.

35 squadron carried out at least one operation exodus in May 1945, my late fathers log book shows the trip. So thats one 8 group on the list.
