    Default No. 611 Squadron - S/Ldr. W. A. DOUGLAS

    Hello/Bonjour,

In the aim to illustrate an article about a raid carried out the 9 of July 1944 by planes belonging to No. 611 Squadron on the German radar station at the pointe du Raz, Brittany, France, I am looking for a picture of S/Ldr. William Anderson Bill DOUGLAS who led the planes during this attack. I thank you beforehand for your assistance.

    Best regards,
    Frederic

    Hello,

You will find a clear head and shoulders shot of S/L W. A. Douglas DFC*, taken at Coltishall, 1943, in Aldon P Ferguson's (with John Hamlin), Beware! Beware!:The History of 611 (West Lancashire) Squadron, Royal Auxiliary Air Force (2004), p.118. Sorry, no scanner.
