    Default Crash of Halifax II JP202

    Can anyone tell me what was the load of Halifax JP202 of 419 Sqn when it crashed into the North Sea off the Danish west coast on the night of 18-19/4-1944. Is was to garden the Faxe bay on the east coast og Sealand.

    Hello Soren. JP-202 had 2 x 1,500 lb mines aboard. 419 Sq acted as a pathfinder Sq on some mining ops and may of carried some flares, but this was never mentioned in the ORB's.

    Soren. I can now add that this aircraft also carried 1x 250 lb red TI.
