    Default N04 M.HM W/T unit Egypt

My late father was attached to the above unit. I have never been able to find out what he would have actually doing during WW2. Can anyone help?

Hi, thanks. His trade was a radio mechanic, and he did mention he was involved in sending & receiving morse.

W/T means Wireless Telegraphy, or Morse (as opposed to R/T or Radio Telephony which was speech) sent by radio, so this ties-in with what your father told you.

    Thanks guys.

I have seen mention on the web that No4 & No6 units were involved as " Y " stations communicating with Bletchley Park. Could this be why Dad would never talk about what he did ??? I do have a diary of his journeys in Egypt to Benghazi, but it reads mostly like a travel documentary!!!!
