    Default 22 Squadron July 1940

The Gallery photo at http://www.rafcommands.com/galleries...s-19-July-1940 found in the IWM depicts crews of 22 Squadron on 19 July 1940. A long shot I appreciate, but could anyone put names to any of the men, please?

The chap on the far left is F/Lt John Noble 40843. He perished on the return flight from an attack on Nantes 02 Dec 1941 in 22 Squadron Beaufort OA.P AW216. He is buried with two other crew members in Quiberon Cemetery. He features in quite a few of the IWM photos taken on 19 July 1940.

Many thanks Flakdodger. It leaves one wondering if some of the others were his regular crew at the time, although I appreciate the photo was probably posed.

Indeed Brian. Unfortunately I do not have the 22 ORB for this period so cannot help in that regard.
