    As soon as I saw the name "Albert Canning" it rang bells with me Alex - he was a local lad to mel in Grangetown, Cardiff. I've posted a "help" item on our local community forum, and I'm positive someone will come up with some gen - as soon as they do I'll post it back here for you :)

    SHAW, James Duncan Beaton - Sgt - 1360524 - the Scotland's People Statutory Deaths Register states that he died at Cowglen Military Hospital, Glasgow at 8.15 a.m. due to a combination of peritonitis and chronic amoebiasis.
